FCA and Cummins have agreed to a $6 million settlement to resolve claims regarding defective diesel engines in certain Dodge Ram trucks.
This settlement benefits purchasers and lessors of new 2013–2015 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 trucks equipped with Cummins Diesels, who bought their vehicles between November 26, 2014, and July 13, 2016, in specific states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
According to the class action lawsuit, the Cummins diesel engines in these Dodge Ram trucks have a defective selective catalytic reduction system, leading to emissions-related issues. While FCA US LLC and Cummins deny any wrongdoing, they have agreed to a $6 million settlement to resolve the claims.
